reasons why I fucking love Maniac and why more people should watch it:

- Emma Stone and Jonah Hill gave the best performances of their careers.

- it’s a sci-fi psychological dark comedy, it is the perfect blend of genres

- it deals with schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, drug addiction, suicidal thoughts, how family can affect your mental health and how important friends are

- to me personally, it is very much reminds me of shows like Black Mirror, Westworld, Castle Rock and Dark (by that I mean it deals with future, it’s kinda trippy and very complex and hard to follow at first, it is unique with it’s ideas and presentation and I just love it)

- the comedy in this is fucking gold

- it is hands down one of the most aesthetically pleasing and visually beautiful shows i’ve ever seen

- Sonoya Mizuno as Dr. Azumi Fujita is gonna be your new crush, like damn

- each episode is completely different and unique

- fully realized and strong female and male characters, also the women are so smart and beautiful and strong, ugh, I just love them

- it focuses on family dynamics and how toxic they can be

- even though it deals with very sensitive and dark issues, it never exploits or romantacizes any of these issues (unlike other certain shows *cough*13RW*cough*)

- it’s really easy to bingewatch

- Sally Field is in this

- it’s a miniseries, meaning it has only one season

- slight spoiler: Emma and Jonah don’t end up together as a couple, but as friends, which is so much better
